Who we are
Burning River Roller Derby is Cleveland's premier skater-run, WFTDA roller derby league, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Founded in 2006, we work hard to create an inclusive, empowering community where women and people from historically marginalized genders can pursue athleticism, leadership, and personal strength through the sport of flat-track roller derby.
What We Mean to the community
Burning River is more than a sports league. We are a community organization. Burning River regularly partners with and supports other nonprofit organizations across Greater Cleveland. Our skaters, officials, volunteers, and supporters proudly represent the city we love. From skaters and referees to officials and volunteers, Burning River is a diverse collective united by a passion for roller derby and for Cleveland.
